I was involved from concept to completion — handling audience engagement, creating promotions, coordinating the event, and managing/planning the content.

With lots of election-related stories ahead of the 2018 midterms, my goal was to make the coverage easily accessible and digestible on digital platforms. One tactic was this “meet the candidates” post, which was an aggregate of all the election content. It gained traction quickly — as I predicted since it’s modeled after a successful post made during the primaries — and became one of the top-viewed posts of all time. Another election story of mine did become the most-viewed WUWM article of all time.

After analyzing data and comments from a story I wrote about the humanoid robot Sophia, I decided to dig into the topic of robots and human rights. It was clear that people were hungry for this type of content. It was a top-performing piece in December 2017 and continues to get readers due to its high ranking in search.
